Traditions

My family has always had lots of traditions around Christmas time. We have sharred some of them with Josh, and me and Josh have started some of our own.

1. My little sister Bekah has a dance recital at Swiss Christmas every year.

2. We always go to the Creche, in the past we have gone with a neighbor family also, but they have moved since then, and now we just go as a family.

3. We always go look at the gingerbread houses. My bosses wife, Tonia, every year makes the best and prettiest ginger bread houses.

4. On Christmas Eve we open one present, its always pajamas. This year Josh got Mountain Dew pj's and I got some green pj's. After opening pj's my dad will read Luke II in the scriptures, and we watch the movie, Luke II, that the church produced.

5. We always go look at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve. Sometimes with pj pants on. This year we all got hungry and stopped at Sonic. I think this is our new favorite ice cream/snacky place.

6. When I was living at my parents (before I was married), me and my sisters would sleep in the same room. We wouldnt ever get much sleep. Now that I am married, me, Josh, Sam, and Max sleep in the same bed on Christmas Eve. Its just as crowded with them as it is with 3 little sisters.

7. Christmas morning, we go to Josh's parents house, and see what Keldon got for Christmas. Josh says we have to do this, cause he misses his little brother.

8. We always go to my parents right after that, and hang out with my family. This year, Josh and my dad snow blowed driveways for a while.

9. After we visit our parents, because we are so self-less we open the presents we got for eachother. (I am totally kidding, it usually cause we sleep in, and have to hurry to get places.) Since we are usually always together when we are shopping for Christmas, we try to get at least one surprise for each other every year. This year, I got Josh a hoodie, shirt, and a one day pass to the Canyons to go skiing. This year Josh got me a hoodie that he spent WAY too much on.

10. The day after Christmas we go to Logan for Josh's mom's side of the family Christmas party. This year, we stayed in Logan an extra two days, and Josh went hunting, and I went "shopping" with Angie, Connor, Brennan, and Keldon. Needless to say, I was pooped by 3 o'clock. I told Josh after that day, we arent having kids. (I am kidding mom :))

Meet Max

Josh and I got a new puppy on Thursday. We love him so much! He is alot smaller than Sam was at this age. Sam is having some jealousy issues, but he is doing alot better!

Max likes to walk and scratch his collar, bark, play with his BIG brother, walk in circles, go up stairs-but not down, give kisses, be fearless, jump off couches, and just be little...

Christmas Time!

Josh and I put up our Christmas tree, and decorated our porch with lights on Tuesday. It was so cold outside! I wish it would just snow already!

Early Christmas

I got Christmas early this year. Our old washer and dryer broke this past weekend. So I got these babies at the Sears Outlet in Orem. Buy one get one free! You cant get any better than that!
Even if I do hate the blue, its slowly growing on me! :)

Thanks for Giving Weekend...

This past Thanksgiving weekend, Josh and I had the chance to serve some of Josh's family members. At first I was so not looking forward to spending my Thanksgiving weekend helping people I hardley know, doing something I dont even like doing. I even told Josh I wasnt going to Thanksgiving Dinner with him. But, Thanksgiving morning, I woke up, got ready (well before the sun was even up!), and went with Josh to help.
When we got there, we noticed that this family needed alot more than windows put in. This family lives in the basement of a house that was built in the 1950's. The upstairs of this house isnt even livable, and the basement is pretty bad.
We worked all day untill about 3. We tore down old wall paper, tore out old windows, ripped up base boards, and door caseing. It was a long hard day, but we got alot done.
As we were sitting at Thanksgiving Dinner that night, Grandpa Goode stood up, and gave a little speech about how hard everyone was working, and how amazed he was with Josh's building skills.
As me and Josh were drving home that night, my heart got so full of love for Josh. He has such a big heart, and is so willing to help. I am so thankful I have such a sweet, loving husband that is so willing, and able to help people.
I am so thankful for Grandpa Goode, Kavin (Josh's dad), Roseann and Pete, GeorgeAnn and her sons, Craig and his sons, and Kami and Curtis and their sons for helping accomplish so much!
This Thanksgiving has helped me realize how much I have, and that I really should not complain about anything. I have a livable home, I have a loving family, I have so many things that make my life so great.

Fun Weekend!

This weekend, Courtney, Bekah, Monica, and me went and saw High School Musical 3. We went and had lunch at The Lion House, at University Mall, and made our way over to Wynsong Theatres to start watching this much anticipated movie! After lots of cheesy songs, and moments that were so funny you had to laugh out loud, we left 3 minutes early. Monica was already late to work, and we didnt want her to be ever later! Here are some pictures before the show started with the cast! Can you find Monica?

Josh's mom's birthday was last Sunday, and after the movie, I needed to go get her a present! But Bekah had to take a pee break, so while she was in the bathroom, me and Courtney found these AWESOME pink colenders!

Hunting...

Last night, Josh, Nate (the business partner/"friend"), Stuart (the brother-in-law) and myself went deer hunting. Now... I have never been hunting in my life. All I know is Josh loves it, and last year he went and came home with a spike elk, some pheasants (Golden Eagles as I call them :)), and a HUGE bull elk.

I dont like to eat elk (Josh tried to tell me it tastes like beef... It doesn't), and I "tried" some deer last year... And I thought it tasted like weeds. I am just going to stick with regular meats, like chicken, and beef. They taste much better, and I dont have to see it hanging in my garage "bleeding out" for the next week.

Anyways... As Josh picked me up from work to start this "wonderful" adventure, I was kind of excited! I get to spend the night with my husband (which is VERY RARE) doing something he loves, and maybe I will like. As I put on my cute Roxy Camo hat that my wonderful Aunt Brenda gave me last year, I told Josh I was going to be the cutest hunter out there. He justed laughed, and now that I think back, it was more of an evil laugh than an agreeing laugh. (Cause he knew what was ahead) We met Stu and Nate at the "secret spot". And as soon as I stepped out of the truck, it was FREEZING! I made sure it was known too, I told Josh it was freezing, and I think that was the last thing I said the rest of the time! To my surprise hunting consists more of tip-toeing around a mountain side, not talking, squinting your eyes to see a deer, and a whole lot of sitting and staring. As the night progressed, I decided to wander, and enjoy the scenery, despite it being so cold, it was pretty up on the mountain side. Soon the sun started to set, (I was praying it would go down faster, that way we could leave!), and then the deer started to show up a little. I only saw one buck the whole time I was on the mountain side, and no one shot it. Which is fine by me! All I can think about deer hunting is somewhere there is a little Bambi, who's Dad might get shot and killed, and not come back. (Josh hates that movie cause it makes hunting "look bad") The night got colder, the wind blew harder, and I started to walk back to the truck. Josh, Nate, and Stu, were still on the mountain side. The hill was pretty steep, so I did a little sideways step, walk zig-zag down the mountain, which added up to be like 3 miles more walking than what the boys did. I got to the trucks, and like 2 seconds later, the boys showed up. Of course I had to take the long way!

Last night, when we got home, I told Josh I was never going hunting again!

Real Salt Lake

Oh lay oh lay oh lay oh lay... Real Salt Lake!

Last night Josh and I went to the Real Salt Lake vs. New York Red Bulls game at the new Rio Tinto Stadiumin Salt Lake. My wonderful mom got Josh the tickets for his birthday. He loved every second of it! Josh was totally in his element, and at towards the end, he was getting really into the game and yelling and cheering! It was a good game, and I had lots of fun. Even though it was cold! The new stadium is so cool! I hope we can go again!

The sprinklers turned on before the game started. It was kinda funny!

50/50

I saw this on Whitnee North's blog, and I thought I would try it! Mostly to waste time at work, but it looked fun too!

Whitnee did 100 facts on herself and 50 on TJ! I was impressed! I decided to do 50 on me and 50 on Josh! :)

50 Facts about me:
1. I am OCD about light switches. They all need to be down if the lights are off, and up if the light is on. Our house makes me CRAZY cause they are all backwards!
2. I love celery now! I used to hate the taste of it, and one day Josh got some sticky fingers from Wingers and it came with celery and i decided to eat one and loved it!
3. I eat Skittles 2 at a time, and they have to be the same color. If there are any left overs Josh gets them!
4. I love the smell of laundry.
5. I am late to everything! No matter how much I try to be on time, I always end up being late!
6. I taught my little sisters primary class with Josh before we were married.
7. I dont know what I am going to name by daughters! All the boy names are picked out!
8. I am addicted to blogging!

Wedding Cake

Me and Josh got home late on Monday night, so we decided to eat the top of our wedding cake on the anniversary of when we "lived together!"

It was me and Josh's one year anniversary on Monday! We decided to take a trip to Vegas for the weekend. It was so much fun to get away and just spend time together! We stayed the night Saturday at a sketchy motel in St George. We went and watched a movie, and had dinner and drove around that night, and I showed Josh my old house, and elementary school. Unfortunatly our freaking camera wouldnt work (It hasnt worked since the sand dunes. I think there is sand in it... Oops!) But it was still fun! I got really excited showing Josh were i spent my childhood! haha

Sunday we drove to Vegas, and spent Sunday and Monday there. We stayed at the Stratosphere. They had a nice swimming pool on the 8th floor that we swam in. We walked the strip 3 and a half times, and it seriously KILLED us! haha On the drive home we stopped at In-N-Out in St George, and we looked like 80 year olds trying to get out of my car! haha Needless to say we need to start to work out more! Saturday night we decided we didint want to get kicked out of the casino's for a minor gambeling (ME! haha) so we walked to Circus Circus and played the arcade games! It was so much fun! I schooled Josh at Skeet-Ball and the water balloon game! And I won Sam a new toy! haha And a bunch of crap, like the blinky glasses I am wearing! haha After Circus Circus, Josh played slots for a second, and we left and walked the strip wearing the blinky glasses. I am almost positive people thought we were drunk. But we weren't! I swear! haha

On Saturday, Josh couldn't wait to give me my anniversary present, so i got it 2 days early! (I am so lucky!) It was a wedding band to go with my engagement ring! This picture doesnt do it justice! Its beautiful! I love finally having a wedding band. Maybe now people will stop asking what grade I am in! haha

Tonight Josh, myself, my parents, and my two youngest sisters, Bekah and Aryn, went to watch my sister, Courtney, play in the powder puff game at the high school. After Aryn and Courtney went to the bon-fire, Josh, myself, my parents, and Bekah went to the Dairy Keen to get some ice cream. While we were there, Bekah went to go fill a water cup with water for an "expirement", and while she was gone, my dad poured some salt in Bekah's water.

Me and Josh talked her into having a drinking contest and we gave her the salt water, and she chugged and then spit the water out, saying, "THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS WATER!"

It was priceless! I wish I had a video camera!

Josh's New Truck!

So I forgot to mention in Josh's Birthday post, that we bought him a new truck! He has needed a new one for a while, but we didnt really want to spend the money or time of selling his old truck, and looking for a new one. But one day, randomly, we went to Provo, and drive past Ken Garff Nissan, and passed this beauty! haha I think it was love at first sight for Josh, we walked right over to it and asked the salesman how much it was! Of course, it was more than we thought, but Josh still got it!

Sorry the picture kinda sucks, I took it on my phone before we went 4-wheeling. Thats also why the 4-wheelers are on the back of it! :)

Josh's birthday was on Tuesday. My wonderful parents gave us a night at the Zermatt on Monday.

Me and Josh went and had a "Birthday Dinner" at the mexican restaurant in
Midway (I dont know how to spell it, and I am not even going to try and attempt spelling it! haha), and after we went and had cheesecake and ice cream at my parents house!

Labor Day weekend, me and Josh went to the Sand Dunes with some of our friends. It was the first time I had ever been, and it was SO MUCH FUN! On Friday night, we stayed at the face of Sand Mountain, and I didnt get sleep, at all! So the next night we went to White Sand Campground. It was a lot quieter! We met lots of red necks there, and unforunatly our camera wasnt working for most of the time, so we only have a few pictures.
