Month {Nine}

Cade,
You had a doctor's appointment this month! You have grown so much since you were born! I can't believe how tall you are, and I love the chunky-ness on your little leggies!
You weigh: 19.5 pounds
Height: 30 inches
Head: 17 1/4 inches
You are off the charts in height! I can't believe how tall you are all of a sudden. You grew overnight it feels like! You are well on your way to being BIG like Dada!
You are starting to talk more. You say "dada" all the time! Whenever you see someone you know you say "Hhhhhhi", it mostly just sounds like you are saying the letter "H", it's adorable. You have started to wave hi and bye! And you love to yell and get people's attention to wave at them and smile. You are quite social. I have been trying to get you to say mama, but you only do it when you are sad or crying and want me. I ask you to say "mama" and all you say is "dada" and laugh.
You are obsessed with cars, trucks, tractors, basically anything that has wheels. You love to flip it over and push the wheels with your finger. It is pretty funny how you do it. You love the "Mater" daddy got you in Disneyland. You will crawl next to it pushing it, and love to push the button on top to make his lights blink and hear him say things! You love your Mickey Mouse we got you in Disneyland too. One night I put him in your crib so you could cuddle with him, and you wouldn't fall asleep. You just kept playing with him. Daddy finally had to take him away so you could fall asleep. You still love to play with balls, and roll them back and forth. You are ALL boy!
You are such a good eater. Sometimes your daddy and I have to work with you to get some food, but you always eat! You are starting to become more independant and want to feed yourself. You are eating solid food at least 3 times a day, and still nursing 4-5 times a day too. You want nothing to do with a bottle, but you drink from your sippy cup like a champ. You love to drink from a straw and are really good at it!
This month was Halloween, we all dressed up as Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and Woody from Toy Story! It was so much fun to dress up as a family and go around to our friends houses and see everyone in our costumes. I made you a "spaceship" out of your red wagon with the help of Aunt Aryn and Aunt Bekah. It was so much fun! We had a good time!
You have three little teeth, two on the bottom and one on top. Your poor gums are so swollen and red, hopefully your second top tooth will break through soon. I love seeing your little teeth when you smile! It is the cutest thing ever! You don't really like when anyone looks at your teeth, and bite when anyone sticks their fingers in your mouth!
You are at such a fun stage. I know I have said this before, but I love it so much! You are busy, busy always moving and getting into things. You keep me on my toes. I have to make sure I don't leave you alone for more than two seconds or you are getting into something! You are such a blessing! I don't know what life was like without you!
You are so happy and hardly ever cry. You love other little kids and tend to gravitate towards other kids when we are with them. You love to watch people, and smile at anyone who will give you attention. You know when people are laughing and love to join in. You are such a ham and will play up any situation if it means the attention will be on you! You clap your hands when you are happy and excited, and love to clap when you are done eating!
Cade, your daddy and I love you so much! You are our pride and joy! We cannot believe you are ours!

Month {Eight}

Cade,
You had a doctor appointment this month, but it wasn't a wellness check. We discovered you have a form of eczema. You get weird little dry skin patches on your back. They don't seem to bother you, they just don't look very pretty! We got some medicine that cleared up those spots! While we were at the doctor they weighed you and you weigh 19.3 pounds! I was shocked that you are already that close to 20 pounds! You are getting so big! You started out as such a little guy.
This month we took our first trip to DISNEYLAND and California with the entire Goode family! You took your first ride on an airplane! You did so good on the plane and just slept! When we got there Sunday afternoon, we went straight to the beach. You loved to eat the sand! Silly boy kept taking handfuls of sand and eating it! The waves were huge while we were there! Daddy and Uncle Norm were playing in the water and got tossed around pretty good! Daddy had to go to Urgent Care on Monday and get his ears cleaned out from all the sand that was in there. Uncle Norm was swept away, but luckily he was able to get to shore safely. It was an eventful first time to the beach!

Monday we went to California Adventure. We had so much fun at Cars Land! You and daddy walked around and saw Mater while mommy stood in line for a ride. You were such a good baby while we were there! We had a lot of fun with you! We took you on as many rides as we could, and I think you enjoyed yourself. On Tuesday we went to Disneyland. You didn't take a nap that was longer than maybe 40 minutes that whole day! You slept while we went on Pirates of the Caribbean. You were surprisingly a cheerful baby that whole day though! We took you on some fun rides. I think your favorite was Peter Pan that day though! You were screaming at the tops of your lungs and laughing through the whole thing! Disneyland closed early that day, so we went back to California Adventure and walked around Cars Land again. We loved it over there!

Wednesday before we left to come back home we went to Disneyland again. We went on all the rides you could go on in Fantasy Land. I think you really enjoyed Its A Small World. Daddy got a video of you on it. You were so content looking around and watching all of the children singing that song! Right before we got onto the ride, Cam fell down and split his head open. He had to go get stitches. We were sad he had to leave, but happy he was okay!

You did great on the plane ride back to Utah. You were super tired and didn't want to be held any longer so the first 20 minutes on the airplane you screamed, but fell asleep right after for the rest of the way home.
We were sad to leave Disneyland but had such a great time while we were there! Your daddy and I can't wait to take you back when you are a little bit bigger!

(We didn't get any pictures or videos while we were there. Mommy put the cameras in the backpack and one of daddy's Pepsi's exploded, covering the cameras in Pepsi… Luckily they dried out and still work we just didn't get any videos of you while we were there except on our phones!)

This month you are as busy as ever! You're moving all over the place. Crawling and sitting up like you have done it your whole life! You love to crawl, and are determined to get something when you see it. You are getting so fast at crawling! You love to pull your self up to stand on the ottoman in the living room. You have started to pull yourself up in the bathtub too, which is a little scary. You have fallen a few times, and it has scared you but you still do it!
 You have learned how to roll a ball back and forth. You love when I will sit on the floor with you and roll the ball to you. You are really good at it! I love watching you discover and learn new things! You are so smart and can figure out things all by yourself. You get frustrated if you can't figure something out, but I will show you once how to do something and you usually can do it from then on out.
 You are such a happy cheerful baby! Your daddy and I love you so, so, so, much! You bring us so much joy, and make everyday a blessing to be with you.
Cade, your daddy and I love you so much! You are our pride and joy! We cannot believe you are ours!

Month {Seven}

Cade,
You didn't have a doctor appointment this month. And I didn't weigh or measure you. I know you are growing and growing every day, I just don't know how much!
This month we took your first trip camping trip to the sand dunes. Grandma and Grandpa Goode and Uncle Keldon brought their trailer and camped with us for the 3 days we were there. Grandma and Grandpa Greer and Auntie Aryn and Bekah came on Saturday and spent the day with us. You were such a good baby the whole time we were there! We took rides in the RZR and every time we would go out you would fall asleep in your car seat. You loved playing in the sand and even eating it!
Holy Smokes!! You are getting so big. You are always on the move. ALWAYS! Since learning to crawl you do not stop moving. Even when you are asleep you are moving all over the place! It has been so much fun to see you discover new things while you are moving all over the place. You love to play with your trucks and push them in front of you while you crawl. If your trucks are small enough you will hold it in your hand and crawl with it. It is adorable to watch you.
You are starting to play with balls and roll them back and forth. You have learned how to do things so quickly and are so smart! Every day you surprise me with something new you have learned. I swear you learn these things in your sleep. Sometimes I don't even have to show you how to do something you just figure it out on your own!

You are starting to get a stubborn streak. Its no surprise that you are! Its quite funny to watch you get upset about something that your particular about. One thing that seems to upset you is getting in your car seat. You always arch your back and try to push away the buckles. You are also super stubborn about eating your food if you aren't at your house in the high chair. It is quite a scene when we are anywhere you and need to give you your food.

This past month has been so much fun. You are at such a fun age. It really makes every day more and more fun to be with you! You are my best little buddy. I hope you know how much your daddy and I truly do love you! You are our pride joy! We cannot believe you are ours!

Month {Six}

Cade,
I cannot even believe you have been with our family for 6 whole months! It has just flown! Before I know it you will be a year old! Time needs to just slow down. You are growing bigger and bigger each and everyday. You are discovering new things everyday!
You weigh: 15.13 pounds
Height: 26.5 inches
Head: 16 inches

You are at such a fun age right now. I am loving spending all of my time with you! You are such a happy baby all the time it is so fun to see your silly personality develop. Sometime you are quiet and reserved like daddy, and other times you are wild and crazy like me! You love to lay on your back and flap your arms above your head and smack things with your hands! You have learned to hit the table when you sit in a high chair. It is so funny! You are eating fruit and vegetable puree mixed with rice cereal and you cannot get enough of it! I have a feeling I wont be able to keep up with your appetite.
This month you took your first trip to the Hogle Zoo! We went with Gramma, Auntie Aryn, Cousin Monica and Kinzee, and Moni's friends from St. George! We had so much fun looking at all of the animals. You were so good sitting in your stroller. It wasn't a crazy hot afternoon, and it even started to rain so we got a little wet and cold.
We also went on our first ever camping trip with Daddy, Spencer, Devan, Rykley, Carly, Megan, Halle, Dax, Nate, Ava, Maya, Tristan, and Layla. It was so much fun! While we were there we didn't know you were getting your first tooth! On Sunday (Aug. 2, 2014) it poked through your gum! You were such a content little baby all weekend even though you were in pain! On Sunday when we left our camp spot you had a MAJOR blow out! I'm talking poop to your ears, buddy! I had to go clean you in the bathroom and in the middle of your diaper change I had to get daddy to help me! I took you out of the restaurant we were getting lunch at naked to get another pair of clothes and another diaper!! You are always keeping me on my toes!
You popped another tooth a few weeks later and now you have two adorable little chompers! When you smile big and talk we can see them!
You are a champ at sitting up all by yourself. You have learned to suck on your toes and go from sitting up to laying on your belly. You don't fall over too often, but when you do you don't even cry and just roll over on to your belly or back and just keep playing! You are such a strong little guy. You have started to try to pull yourself up onto things. I will stand you up and you will grab onto the couch or the edge of your bookshelf or the bathtub and stand for as long as I will let you! You haven't quite figured out crawling but you are trying too push your legs underneath yourself. Sometime at night I peek on you sleeping and you have your legs tucked underneath you and your little bum is in the air like a stink bug!
Cade, this past month has been so much fun! I have really loved being your momma! You are at such a fun age. I am always saying this is the funnest age you have been so far! I can't wait to see what the next six months have in store for me and your daddy! We love you so very much! I hope you know that! You make each and every day worth living!
Cade, your daddy and I love you so much! You are our pride and joy! We cannot believe you are ours!

Month {Five}

Cade,
Another month has come and gone. You are getting bigger each day! I swear you are growing at least an inch each night!
Height: 25 1/4 inches (honestly I didn't measure you. I'm sure you are taller than this...)
Weight: 15.8 pounds
Head: 15 3/4 inches
I cannot believe next month you will be six months old! It seems like your daddy and I  just brought you home from the hospital! You are getting to be such a big, happy, silly baby boy.
You and Mommy on the 4th of July
This month was July 4th. We had a fun day at Gramma and Grampa Greer's house having a BBQ. You also got your first taste of real food, carrots. You loved them and ate them right up! You hardly got any on your face because I couldn't get it in your mouth fast enough.
You eating carrots for the first time!
You after you ate your carrots! So happy!
Daddy won his first demo derby on July 5th! We watched him get crashed into by all of our Heber friends! It was so much fun! You had a great time, and loved being passed around and hearing the loud cars. You are such a great baby to let mommy and daddy drag you to derbies... You have never cried or acted like the loud cars even bother you!

Jumping in your bouncy seat!
You have learned to blow raspberries with your mouth. Whenever someone is talking to you or you are in a good mood you are spitting at us! You get spit all over yourself, but it is the cutest little thing! I am not sure where you learned it, but I love it! I always say if you love someone you will spit at them! You have also mastered jumping in your bouncy seat. Every morning while I eat breakfast you just jump and jump and jump in your seat. You love it and just get the biggest smile on your face while doing it! You wear yourself out jumping and usually take a great morning nap from all your jumping!

You in your swim suit at 7-Peaks Water Park
Every Tuesday this month we have been going to 7-Peaks Water Park with the Goode side of the family; your Aunts, cousins, Gramma and Keldon have joined us there! It took a few times for you to like the water and get used to being in the sun, but you love it now! I put you in your floaty and we go down the lazy river and you just kick and kick your legs in the water. We have gone to the wave pool a few times as well and you like when the waves hit you. It has been so much fun being able to do something each week together. I look forward to going to 7-Peaks and love the time we spend together. You are always so happy when all of your cousins dote over you! They just love you to pieces and I can't wait for you to be able to run and play with them!

This past month daddy finished up his softball season. His team took second place. We have had so much fun going to watch daddy play. You wear your little jersey with daddy's number on the back of it. You enjoy being outside, and it makes me happy you have been so good while we watch dad. I will put you on my lap and watch everyone play! I hope when you get bigger you will enjoy it as much too, and maybe even play some sports too!

This month you learned to sit up all by yourself! I love that I can sit you up and you will just stay sitting for a long time. Sometimes you are a little tipsy, but for the most part you have got the hang of sitting up. You love being able to look around and watch everyone. I think you had such an easy time sitting up cause you have a small little noggin, just like your daddy! You like to sit up in the bath tub too! Such a big boy!

You still don't have any teeth, but you drool so much! Your shirts are usually soaked with slobber all the time! Before I always had to carry a burp cloth cause you spit up so much, now I need to carry one to wipe off your mouth from all of your slobber from spitting and blowing raspberries!

Cade, you are so much fun! I have loved this stage, so far it is my favorite. You are getting the funniest, silliest personality. I know each month I say that, but it is true! I love when I can make you laugh, usually the best way to get a good laugh is when I act like a complete fool in front of you! I love hearing your sweet laugh though. It is the best sound in the world! Most of the time, you are pretty serious. You just like to look around and observe the world around you. You are starting to get quite talkative. In the morning you wake up talking to the little animals on your bumper pad in your crib. You like to touch the fabric and talk to them. It is the best way to get woken up in the morning. Your sweet little voice is the best!

Cade, your daddy and I love you so much! You are our pride and joy! We cannot believe you are ours!

Month {Four}

Cade,
My goodness you are growing SO much every day!
This month you weighed: 13.2 1/2 pounds (50%)
Height: 25 1/4 inches (75%)
Head: 15 3/4 inches (25%)
It feels like time is just flying by! I can't believe it have been four blessed months since you joined our family! This month wasn't nearly as busy as last month was! You had a lot of first's last month.

Daddy was in his first demolition derby this month! You had so much fun watching him crash into cars! I think what was the most fun for you though was all of the attention you got from everyone that was there! All of your Aunts, both sets of grandparents, and Uncle Keldon were there doting over you while watching daddy! Daddy got 6th place at the Bluffdale derby, it was very fun to watch and daddy enjoyed himself too.
This month was also Daddy's first Father's Day! You spoiled him by getting him a new watch and a phone case. You were a good baby that day, and we had lots of fun playing with daddy and seeing grandparents and having a BBQ!
You and Daddy Father's Day morning
You love to read books, and play with your toy trucks. You flap your arms and try to turn the pages whenever we are reading together. You like to look at pictures with brightly colored pages. I love that you like to be read to, it will be fun when you get to read stories to me!
Your lips. I love when you concentrate really hard they poke out!

It has been so fun to see your personality come out more and more each month! You smile and laugh when you are in a good mood or recognize someone you know. But if you are tired or not sure of the situation you are pretty serious!
You love to play with hands of whoever is holding you. You are obsessed with grabbing and holding onto fingers. When someone is talking to you, and they move their hands your eyes immediately watch and you start reaching out and grabbing. You also love to look at my watch and try to suck on it! This month everything goes straight to your mouth! Teethers and your Sophie the Giraffe have become instant favorites. You know that you can gnaw on Sophie, and you will chew and chew on her. As soon as I show you her, your mouth goes right open.
You love when anyone will look at you, sometimes you get bashful, but most of the time you flash a giant gummy smile at them! It is so sweet! You love people, especially kids. You look at them and start wiggling and going crazy! I can't wait for you to get big enough that you can move and follow behind. You are starting to move your arms and legs during tummy time like you are going to crawl away! You have mastered going around in circles on your belly! Every night I put you in your crib, and in the mornings you are all the way on the other side and upside down. You haven't quite grasped the concept of rolling, although you are almost there! You get half way on your side, and either roll back or suck your fingers!
You love tummy time, especially if the dogs are near by for you to watch. You have started grabbing their fur and collars. Luckily they are nice to you and just sit there until you are done. Tucker loves to lick your hands and face. He gets yelled at a lot for that! Sam has to check on you all the time whether you are in your crib or on the floor he always has to look at you. He stays in your room with me while I nurse you and loves to be in the bathroom with us while you are in the bathtub. Max just tolerates every one, he just likes to sleep! I think when you are older he will be your best buddy!

You are such a busy little guy! We have been watching daddy play softball on Monday nights and you love to watch everyone there. You sit on my lap or one of your grandma's laps and just look around!
Wearing your jersey to watch daddy play softball
You love to chew on your hands and suck on those two middle fingers still! I love it though! I don't have to remember to bring a binky with me, and when you are feeling fussy you just suck on them to make yourself feel better! It is so sweet! You are always covered in slobber from sucking on your hands and fists, one of these days you'll get some teeth but for now we will just put up with all of the slobber!

You sleep wonderfully still! I am so blessed that you like to sleep! You are taking at least two naps a day and sleep through the night! You are so fun in the morning! So smiley and love to play!
We got a new bouncer that you just love! You bounce and jump and play with all the toys! It wears you out.
It is so fun to watch you learn and grow. You are no longer a newborn, but a fun independent baby!
Cade, your daddy and I love you so much! You are our pride and joy! We cannot believe you are ours!
