Cade had his 3 month portraits taken by no one other than the talented Devan Rae Jacobsen! Anytime I see her work I get so excited. She has such a talent for photography!

She came to our house to take Cade's pictures. He wasn't feeling very good that day, but you would never be able to tell! Devan was also like 8 months pregnant too! She is such a great friend!

I know I will cherish these photos forever and ever!

It amazes me how much he has grown since his newborn portraits were taken.

I can't believe it has been three glorious months since you entered our family!
This month was a fun one for us! We went to St. George without daddy, went to your first demolition derby, and took your first trip to the sand dunes!
We went to St. George Maddi's graduation. But while we were there you had some firsts! Your first bonfire and first time in a swimming pool! I think you enjoyed the swimming pool, it was a little colder than a bathtub though! You did great in the car driving to St. George. We rode down with Nana and met with everyone else later in the day in St. George.

At the derby you just slept! Pretty much the whole time. It was a lot of fun! You wore your ear protection like a champ! It didn't even seem to phase you! You just would suck on your fingers and fall asleep. I was worried you would hate the whole thing, but I should have known. "Derbying" is in your blood! We rode to the derby with Halle, Dax, and Megan in daddy's truck. Luckily the weather was really nice as well. It wasn't too cold, and wasn't too hot! We watched Spencer and Case; and Chez and Ryan in the derby and cheered for them really loud!

We also went to the sand dunes for the first time with our friends! You loved being outside all day! You took a few naps and laid on a bouncer in the sunshine. I can already tell you will enjoy being at the sand dunes! Daddy can't wait til you are big enough to take on a ride in the RZR and on his four wheeler. I of course forgot to take some pictures while we were there, but you had a fun time!
This month was also my first Mother's Day! Your daddy got me a necklace with your birthstone in it! I love it! I am so blessed to be your mommy, Cade! Everyday I just love you more and more. I did not think that was possible... But somehow it is! I am so blessed!

You are getting so big. All you want to do is be moving. You don't want to miss anything! When you are awake you want to be moving and talking, or growling! When you are awake you want to be up and seeing everything! You don't like to lay on your back and want to be sitting up. You try to push yourself up so you can sit up. It's quite funny that you think you are so big! You are growing up so fast! You are doing tummy time like a champ and even are starting to push your bum up in the air! Daddy thinks you will be crawling soon. I hope not! You have rolled over twice (from stomach to back), but they both were just flukes because you haven't done it since!

You are smiling so much! Anytime we make eye contact you smile and kick your feet. It melts my heart every time you do it! But I can never get a picture of your gummy smile! Whenever I pull out my camera you get super serious and wont smile again! You are a little tease!
You always have your hands in your mouth. You definitely have found your hands! You love to suck on your fingers (on your right hand the two middle fingers you suck on when you are tired and ready to go to sleep. It is adorable when you do it!), and love to chew on your hands. You are always covered in slobber!

You are still a great sleeper! You go down for the night around 10 pm and wake up around 7 am to nurse. You usually go back to sleep for another few hours but occasionally you are ready to be up for the day and take a nap around 9 am. You still suck your fingers, and put yourself to sleep when you wake up. I love that you learned to self soothe so quick! Much easier for the both of us!
Your personality is starting to come out more and more. You sure are a happy little guy 95% of the time! You kick your feet and flap your arms and smile and coo all the time!
I decided this month that I wasn't going to work anymore and just be at home with you! It was a great decision and I am so happy that I did it! I love spending every waking moment with you! I hope you feel the same too. You still love to cuddle and be held. I love when I am holding you and you lay your head on my chest and just cuddle. It is the sweetest thing ever! I hope you never stop wanting to cuddle. I will always pick you up and hold you as long as you want me too!
